Since 1993 The Learning Center has provided families and individuals with developmental help with many FREE programs to help children and families grow better. They had humble beginnings but soon grew to be a very large operation! In 2012, TLC for Families was awarded a Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) grant from the Utah Office of Home Visiting. They offer many free services including:
- Hearing checks for infants and toddlers
- Vision checks for infants and toddlers
- Therapy and learning programs for infants and toddlers with special needs
- Infant/Toddler mental health services
- Child development hot-line
Items in need include: educational toys for young children; diapers sizes 0-5, Pull-Ups, quilts, coats, gloves, baby blankets, thermometers, wipes, onesies, burp pads, binkies, teething toys, baby towels and washcloths, gift cards in small increments, new infant car seats, Cheerios, smoke detectors, bottled water and large crayons.
Last year we raised $15,000 with our radiothon for this amazing facility, and we’re going to be going all day long until we raise more!
